Last November we went to visit Abu Dhabi for inspiration for an incentive and wrote a blog about it which you can read here. This week’s blog we want to share some more unique experiences that the city has to offer.
Anantara Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort
It may not be in the city centre of Abu Dhabi, but it is one of the most unique locations in the surroundings: The Anantara Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort. As the name already says the resort is situated in the desert. The Hotel has 205 elegant and luxurious rooms, villas and suites. Even though the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, it offers all the facilities you need and several unique activities, like camel rides, falconry, a luxurious spa and several dining venues. Also hosting an exceptional meeting is possible, because they offer two boardrooms and one ballroom.
Pearl diving is a unique edutainment (education + entertainment) experience to get familiar with the history of the pearling industry in the Arabian Gulf region. The tradition of pearl diving goes back more than 7000 years. Before the oil industry was booming, most of the money was made in the pearl industry. Because of this booming pearl industry, a lot of families wanted to live closer to their work. So they moved to the coastal places like Abu Dhabi and Dubai, that’s how pearl diving helped these two cities established. Knowing all this makes the pearl diving even more special. The pearl diving contains a guid and you can enjoy some traditional tea and coffee.
Restaurant Catch is a real dining experience. Every element at Catch is theatrical and artistic. Their cuisine is all about seafood fusion with the combination of Middle Eastern and Asian flavours. While indulging in the delicious food you can enjoy the views of the waterside.
Saadiyat is a multi-faceted destination that offers a variety of luxury-based experiences. This private island is located 500 metres off the coast of Abu Dhabi. Including a beach club with swimming pool and cabanas, several dining venues that offers options from fine-dining to casual café’s, a golf course and a fitness&health club. The private island offers two hotels, but there is also a possibility to rent apartments and villas. You can shop till you drop in the luxurious boutique shops or visit one of the museums. Saadiyat really has it all.
There is so much more to discover in Abu Dhabi that we couldn’t all write it up in one blog. Discover it yourself during an incentive to Abu Dhabi.
